Space Jihad is a serialised 6 issue comic I am publishing with my friends at Glom Press, who make books and comics with gorgeous risograph machines. It follows the adventures of Huda Munawar as she traipses across the galaxy with her best friend, the alien cyborg UNO4. Together they take on morally conservative sandslugs, space vampires, and the might of an empire bent on rampant pan-galactic exploitation.
Huda is a character I’ve known for years, or at least that’s how it feels. Her adventures present a chance to address themes I care about, utilising all the tropes and conventions of the space opera.
